Fluorescent Tubes - T8 and T5

Most T8 and T5 fluorescent tubes are used for commercial use, such as for warehouse and office lighting. This is mainly due to their low running costs, high-colour rendering and even light distribution. Fluorescent tubes can be bought in a range of colour temperatures, including 840 cool white and 860 daylight.

There are two main types of fluorescent tubes, T5 (5/8ths of an inch diameter) and T8 (8/8ths or one inch diameter). All our T8 tubes are triphosphor which last longer and give a much higher quality of light. If light quality is important we highly recommend the Sylvania Activa 172.
